Privacy notice

Insight Circle is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office and operate under ISO 27001 certified controls.

We do not sell data, run advertising, or share your details with a sponsor — because there isn't one.

What we collect

Five forms on this site collect personal data. Each collects the minimum needed to respond.

  • AI Diagnostic. Your answers, plus name, work email and company if you ask for the results pack. Answers alone are not personal data until you submit the form.
  • Benchmark pricing enquiry. Name, work email, role and organisation, sector and market.
  • Benchmark internal survey. Scored answers only. Responses are anonymous to your employer and to us at individual level, and no cut with fewer than seven respondents is reported to anyone.
  • Roundtable seat request. Name, work email, role and organisation, and which sessions interest you.
  • Careers. Self-categorised skills and contact details. No CV is required or stored.

We also record how you arrived — referring page and campaign parameters — so we know which work is worth continuing. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party analytics cookies.

How we use it

To reply to you, to deliver what you asked for, and to run the index. Our lawful basis is your consent for marketing contact, and legitimate interests for responding to an enquiry you initiated.

  • We group enquiries by email domain so colleagues from one organisation are counted once. We never disclose to an employer who from their organisation contacted us.
  • Assessment results are shared only with the client who commissioned them.
  • Index findings are published as aggregates. Individual organisation lines are never published or sold.

Retention

  • Enquiries that do not become engagements: 24 months, then deleted.
  • Diagnostic responses: 12 months, then anonymised and retained only as aggregate.
  • Survey responses: retained as scored data for the life of the index series; identifiers are separated on receipt.
  • Engagement records: 7 years, as professional and insurance obligations require.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you may request access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, or object to processing. Write to bookabriefing@insightcircle.com marked Data request. We respond within one month.

If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first.

Terms & conditions

These terms apply to use of this website. Engagement terms are agreed separately in writing before any work begins, and take precedence over anything here.

Scope of work

  • Every engagement is scoped and priced in writing before it starts. We do not work on open-ended terms.
  • The diagnostic and any output from this website are indicative. They are not an audit, a certification, or a professional opinion, and should not be represented as one.
  • Index positions drawn from public sources are stated as at the date of publication and sourced in the wave documentation.
  • Nothing on this site is legal or regulatory advice.

Liability

We carry professional indemnity insurance, and your recourse is against the firm rather than any individual working on your engagement. Liability limits are set in the engagement letter and are proportionate to the fee.

We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Deliverables and intellectual property

  • You own the findings about your organisation. Reports, evidence packs and assessment outputs are yours to use, circulate and disclose to your regulator.
  • We retain the methods, instruments and frameworks used to produce them.
  • We may cite an engagement only with your written consent, and never against a score.
  • Index content is ours; client-specific analysis within it is yours.
